How many dives do I need to make to qualify?
The Wreck Diver course is four dives in total.
If wreck was completed is an Adventure Dive on the Advanced Open Water its three dives.
Three dives can be completed in one day, four dives requires two days.
Where can I do the required dives?
Although we have great wrecks in the UK, most wrecks in the UK are marked by a dive skipper on arrival at the site by using a shot line.
Most skipper can predict roughly where the line will be on the wreck; Bow, Midships, Stern, but due to the rules of thirds of air (covered in the course!), visibility on the day and other factors, it’s very hard to guarantee penetrating a wreck at sea.
Therefore we recommend the wreck dives are completed either in a UK lake or one of our overseas holidays which include wrecks within the itinerary (click here to see those currently available!).
